Always a great place to stay when travelling. You are able to have breakfast and dinner during the work week. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was okay, not bad or great. Free laundry was helpful over the holiday.
Friendly staff. Nice pool and hot tub. Nice complimentary breakfast in the morning. Our room was clean and comfortable. Nice to have a full-sized fridge to bring our own drinks and snacks. Close to everything in Brighton. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to others.
Great breakfast, awesome rooms. Would give this 5 stars but our rooms were not ready until 6 pm! If check-in is at 3, we should be able to check in at 3! Plus the worker was pretty rude when she "informed us" that our room was "nowhere NEAR ready." Ok. I'm not asking why it needed a deep clean, but I'm just glad I had a place to sleep!
I can't list enough positive adjectives for the Grand Rapids downtown Homewood Suites. The rooms are HUGE. It is an old historic building that has been converted. There are exposed brick walls and old 2" wooden slat floors. Very cool ambience. The bathrooms are modern and large. The complimentary breakfasts were good. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. It is located within easy walking distance to museums, restaurants and shopping. My only negative is that the inroom coffee maker uses pods for 1-2 cups. A regular coffee pot would be much better.
Stayed in a special suite that was very cozy and nice. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was super spacious, and there was even a small kitchen! If we were staying more than one night, that kitchen would have been super helpful to reduce food expenditures by cooking our own food. The breakfast in the morning was as expected for a hotel, but not bad overall. The eggs and meat were good, and I especially liked the waffle iron after trying a bite of my girlfriend's waffles. My only real complaint was the television. The cable was in standard definition and the TV was high definition. I understand a lack of channels, but having poor quality TV on such a high quality screen made it not even worth using. I would have only found the TV useful if I had brought my own computer with HDMI cable or maybe my own gaming system, but definitely not for watching the provided cable/antenna television.
