Today I received a call from April the manager that my wife is 90 days past due, and going to be sent to collections. Now my beef is not in that money is owed because she obviously owes $30 for the first payment that did not process. However it boggles my mind that when the payment method was not updated Anytime continued to charge my wife when utilization of the gymnasium services were not possible. I could understand if she were to be locked into a 2 year agreement, however she has been a member for 7 years so no such agreement should be in place. Management's argument is when she signed up 7 years ago there is a clause in the contract that says Anytime can continue to charge their customers for your membership even if your payment method is not updated, and you cannot physically, literally, get a workout in or utilize their services. For example, If I stopped paying my Verizon bill to the point that my service was shutoff I would still owe the bill for service that was used. However they would not continue to charge me for service after my service was disconnected, and to do so would be criminal.

Relatively clean, fairly new equipment, pretty good sized. Best feature is the hours.

This is a very clean, well taken care of gym. I love it here!

Expensive ($45/m NOT including initially $65 for keyfab..) so If you’re like me, looking for a 1m membership youre out $110.. I dont mind paying this much as long as you get what you pay for, but you dont get much at this small gym basically just a room and two showers with tanning bed. Hamburg fitness, less than a 10minute drive is $50/m which includes free classes, pool, hot tub, basketball, racquetball.. not to mention three times the amount of equipment so you're not waiting for equipment. I suggest anytime changes their prices with such close by competition and doesn't charge for the key to get in..

Because of my career in retail sales, and customer experience it takes a tremendous injustice for me to get on Google to leave a negative review. It is with heavy heart that this negative review is being left for a business to which my wife, and I have been both members and promoters of for 7 years. In short over the summer my wife's debit card expired which caused a rift in the scheduled payment. Because of her busy schedule she knew the gym was not going to be a priority so she chose not to update the payment method with her new card. No point in paying when she is not going to the gym, and allows us to cut our budget until she decides to come back.

Terrible ownership. Due to massive power outages across Michigan, I decided I would take my mom up to this location (who has power) and pay for a daily pass ($10). I tell the man at the desk that we have lost power and that I am a member and would like my mom to shower. I therefore offer to pay for a dsily pass and he states it is $20. I ask why is it $20 when it's usually $10. He then states that it is because of the high demand for showers since people don't have power. So the owner is gouging individuals who are in need of sanitary necessities. Unbelievable customer service. I never plan on attending this gym again and plan on disputing this higher up within the Anytime Fitness company.

Over the course of 7 years my wife has paid in $2,520 to Anytime, and together we are over $5,000. Without this incident I have no doubt in my mind that I would have been a member for another 7 years, and my wife would have eventually come back as well. My point is on this day Anytime Fitness of Brighton decided that a clause in a contract to charge customers, that was signed 7 years ago will net them an additional $60 of gp. However it will lose them $5,000 of additional revenue over the next 7 years. There are far too many options in this area to get a good workout in in order to avoid giving money to companies that do not appreciate their loyal members.
