Dr. Ahmed is amazing. He takes the time to listen to me, even if it means patients have to wait a few minutes longer to see him. He is very calm and always addresses my concerns. He puts a lot of thought into choosing the right medications that suit each of his client's specific conditions. I moved away from Lansing but still drive out to the Brighton office just to remain under his care. I don't know why anyone would give him a bad review, other than that maybe people with psychiatric conditions are more likely to give bad reviews when they become upset. The new receptionist at the brighton office is not as good as the ones in East Lansing, but definitely not a reason to stop seeing such smart and kind psychiatrist!
I see Dr.Ahmed at his East Lansing office and I rate him as the best Psychiatrist in Michigan. I have been seeing him for 4 years and I am thankful to him for diagnosing my illness correctly and putting me on the right medication. He relates with his patients.
You might have to wait bit longer to get an appointment as he is in demand and I have met people in his waiting area travelling more than 100 miles to see him. One you meet with him,you will know why.
I'm not sure if this was by accident, as she didn't mention it when I saw her, but when she handed me my scripts I noted that she did not include my anxiety medicine. My anxiety is off the hook, I can not understand why she would remove such s vital part of my treatment. Very frustrated. Probably going elsewhere.
Dr.Ahmed is the best psychiatrist in Michigan. I can say that after I have experienced seeing about 10 different doctors in the past 20 years of my serious mental illness.
He gives me enough time and attention. He also asks me how I am doing socially and how my family feels about my progress.
Wonderful experience.I see Dr.Ahmed at his East Lansing clinic and would recommend him over any other psychiatrist.If you are a genuine psychiatric patient like myself and you need individualized attention and proper care, he is the doctor to go to. If you are looking for "drugs" , you better go somewhere else as he is very conscientious about prescribing Benzos and Adderall kind of stuff.
